Cientificos.pe is a Peruvian non-profit science and education advocacy organization. It is composed of a network of scientists and researchers in Peru and around the world with the main objective of boosting together the education and science of our country. In that sense, we have created many initiatives related to online meetings for mentoring, scientific community, online webinars, virtual psychological consulting for student support, etc. Spin-Ion supports the association of Peruvian scientists presided by Nahuel Monteblanco, a member of our team.
Seeking inspiration through minimalism and additive synthesis young sound designer and electronic music producer Liam Binks represents soft processing with the use of sound wave modulation and foley techniques. The sound design is set out to emphasise the impression of change, with clear before and after processing alongside a deep sensation of space. Liam has created the inspiring sound of the video for the introduction of the technology.
Patricia is a Scientific Visual Communicator who creates eye-catching illustrations and animations to help scientists connect with their audience. While working on her PhD, she got immersed in graphic design and animation and started making her own visuals. This provided her with a deep understanding of scientific communication needs. Now, her artistic view is focused on using cinema and video game tools to make science stand out. Patricia has made the eye-catching video for the introduction of the technology.
The graphic identity of Spin-Ion is developed together with scientific collaborator and artist L. Herrera Diez/Dorian Diez. The imaginary scenarios that she creates have been redesigned to reflect the intricate world hidden within nanoscale structures and interfaces. Liza has contributed to Spin-Ion’s visual identity through the imaginary scenarios of paintings, mugs and greeting cards.
