Spin-Ion Technologies published in Applied Physics Letters

05/02/2023

With our academic partners at Institut Neel CNRS, C2N, Universidade Federal Do Paraná, and Laboratoire de Physique des Solides, we show an almost 50% reduction in the depinning field required to move a magnetic domain wall through an irradiated Pt/Co/AlOx thin film. This could make the new devices more energy efficient.

This work is part of the MagnEFi project to which Gyan van der Jagt, one of our former PhD students, contributed and is a direct result of an ESR secondment of Cristina Balan to the Spin-Ion labs.
